AF BORNOT

The AF Bernot DyeWorks is located at 1626­-1644 Fairmount Avenue and 1615­1635 Melon Street in the Fairmount/Art Museum neighborhood. Originally constructed in 1901, AF Bernot served as a headquarters for the AF Bernot Dye Works Company. In July 2014, MMPartners acquired the AF Bernot in an off­-market transaction utilizing federal and state historic tax credits and low interest secondary financing from PIDC.

MMPartners completed construction June 2016 and plan to refinance the asset January 2017. The AF Bernot is a 17-­unit mixed-­use multifamily loft building with 13,500 SF of commercial space, 18 ­indoor private parking spaces. AF Bernot’s retail components anchored by Univest Bank and Anytime Fitness. Other retail occupants are Yoga Habit, a hot­ yoga studio and HelloFresh.
